MEXICAN & SOUTH AMERICAN CUISINE -NURAY’S cook club IV/VI-28 March 2019

It’s our first time with my club to cook Mexican & South American cuisine. I cooked before a few recipes from the region but, I want make a proper search  before make my choices. I found myself in culinary paradise!

The ethnic fusion of South America has many influences over the cuisine; Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Native American, African and even India-South Asian.

There were many new ingredients such as; plantains, cassave, masa carina flour, tomatillos, Qaxaca cheese, nopales, etc. etc.

We made many recipes with meat and vegetables …Puerto Rican empanadas, salsa & guacamole, pastalelon de platonos, Venezuelan arepas, authentic Mexican mole sauce, ” cinco de mayo ” flan cake.

I’m sure , we will cook again next year same region’s cuisine with new recipes 🙂
